3 Fonteinen Hommage is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries and raspberries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of 760 to 800 grams of raspberries and 200 to 240 grams of sour cherries per litre of lambic. This fruit lambic is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit. Hommage is a bodied raspberry lambic beer, with an intense deep red forest fruit bouquet. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added.

Hazy red with a small short lived pink head. Big fresh and tart raspberry aroma with a light funk. Flavour is moderate to heavy sour, a little to far on the sour side. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Beautiful raspberry aroma with deep funk. Fairly sour but not too much. Super juicy and jammy.

Good Hommage, lovely fruit and soft funk. Quute sour like almost all Hommage, slightly too much so but a good beer overall.

pinkish colour, minimal, slightly pinkish off-white head; aroma of intensive (lyophilized) raspberry, balsamic vinegar and barnyard notes; taste of lyophilized raspberry, (unripe) sour cherry, intensive citric and acetic acidy sourness and tart notes; great one!

0.75l bottle thanks to Lore. Hazy pink body with a tiny pinkish head. Huge balsamic vinegar notes both in the aroma and the taste with some raspberry, barnyard notes, sour cherries, lemon zest and even some cloves. It has a complex, unique character. Very sour but at the same time it has traces of sweetness and lots of fruits to it. Amazing.

(Bottle, bottled 14 Feb 2007, 6.0%) Deep red colour with brief, bubbly, pinkish white head. Fruity, sourish nose with raspberries, sour cherries, vanilla, almonds and some balsamic vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with notes of raspberries, cherries, red-currant, pomegranate, vinegar and cellar. Medium body, dry. Really fresh and tasty, with more focus on tart fruit than on barnyard and cobweb. Quite a remarkable beer.

Bottle at home. Looks lovely. Typical hommage, with quite some raspberries here and a deep dank cellar funk. Quite sour but not over the top. Quite good, but a bit on the sour side.
