Bottle from Tanakaya shared. Big oaky nose with some light tartness and vanilla notes. Slightly tart on the palate, but quite muted for a sour. The oak is awesome with loads of cherry, blackberry and lingonberry notes. Some light dry with a bit of bitter kick on the finish. Average carbonation and highly drinkable. Great introductory sour / funky beer especially for people new to the style or who aren’t big beer fans.

75cl bottle. Deep burgundy red, with a medium-tall light red head that gives way to a very thin lacing. Smells of lambic funk, macerated cherries, vinegar, cider. Tastes sour and a funky, mouldy bitter, with notes of sour cherries, sherry and a touch of vinegar. Light bodied and medium carbonation. A very interesting lambic, not as dry or as sour as the ones from Cantillon, and maybe a bit more complex.

tap at Moeder Lambic - Pours hazy red with a small head and a tart cherry aroma. It has a delicious tart cherry flavor with enough sweetness to keep it from being too pucker inducing. Excellent kriek.
