Fresh Ultra and Cashmere hops were picked at dawn by the good folks at Chilliwack Hop Farm, then were lovingly transported on a morning ferry to be personally delivered for boil kettle addition by midday. We feel that the most exciting characteristic of fresh hop brews is the juicy, luscious aroma and flavour that can only be created once – during the harvest, that is. This flavourful and zesty saison is delicately balanced by fresh Cashmere and Ultra hop additions that capture the zenith of flavour and aroma of these varieties.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Bright and hazy golden color with creamy head. Delicate malt aroma, crisp malt flavor, crackery; there is a mild spicy character, but the Saison is very timid hereand there is no evidence of special hopping, just regular bitterness.
Good beer.

Bottle - Estery sweet fruit and some banana. Clear gold with a decent white head. Fruity esters and lots of banana notes.

Beige, light phenols, biscuity malts. A little but yeasty. The hops don't show up with brightness but it's drier than I expected so maybe that's where it is coming across.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy saison yeast, crisp bready malt and a touch of drier hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of earthy saison yeast, a touch of esters, and crisp biscuity malt. Nothing close to an authentic saison here, but it's pleasant enough.
