This IPA focuses on citrus hops with supporting tropical notes and a slightly richer malt profile to provide a very smooth finish that begs for another sip! Highly drinkable despite having a ABV of 6.5 and IBU of 65. Perfect IPA to drink out the fall.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out woody hops, toasted bready malt and some resins. Flavour is very dry, with woody hops, some pine and toasted biscuity malt. Quite malty for an IPA, yet not sweet at all really. Decent stuff, just not really what I look for in the style.

Was this the same as the Experimental IPA that showed at BC Beer Awards a couple days later with the same ABV? Bright amber, thick head, sweet malt, touch of crystal, and there's woody hop...actually a touch cheesy. Soft body, nice touch of sweetness, light fruity hop.

Draft - Mandarin and nice citrus notes. Clear gold with a small white head. Mandarin and some nice peel bitterness. Solid and a bit juicy with a good balancing bitterness.
