On tap at the brewery. Okay gold yellow body and a bit of foam. Nice floral oily hops on the nose but that's about it. Flavour is big heavy oily hops but not too overpowering. Smooth enough with no residual sugar like I've seen in other strong IPAs in town. Good mouthfeel, nice oiliness. A highly serviceable big IPA.

Draft pour at Red Truck. A barely hazy pale golden pour. No head. Melon hops and dusty grains on the aroma. Flavor is a bit on the dry side, with melon and tropical fruit, but again, very dry. Lingering flavor forever on this, but a bit of an empty flavor. Or strange at least. Tropical and citrus fruit is there, but it's lacking the juiciness I've grown to expect in the style. A decent New England-ish IPA here.

Taster at Darby's Gastown with Sonnet (Core2 pass celebration). Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is quite pleasant with tropical fruits notes. Taste is very fruity just with a slight bitterness aftertaste. Quite pleasant.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter piney hops, some earth and biscuity malt - doesn't smell all that NE-like. Flavour is closer to the advertised style, I guess, with dry piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Seems much clearer than a typical NE IPA, which isn't necessarily bad. Pleasant enough.

@ St Augs. Slightly hazy, dull gold. Medium head. Has that soupy overripe fruit note I dislike in the less salubrious examples of the style. Moderate bitterness. Limited malt structure is a bit flabby.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Blond color. The arom ais a bit dank and fruity. The mouthfeel is very dry, at least for the style, it has a mild crisp malt base, definitively much cleaner than a NE IPA, the hop is a bit resiny and very lightly dank; it doesn't feel like 6.7% ABV.
Nice dry session IPA, missing the target though.

Draft - Fruity, vanilla and weedy. Medicine like. Clear gold with a decent white head. Bitter, weedy and grassy with some fruit in the background. Not very true to style.
