Let the quiet calm of abbey life envelope you as you contemplate this Belgian-style quad in front of a crackling fire. Malty notes of fig, ripe fruit, and brown sugar punctuate the aroma, while flavors of fruity and spicy Belgian yeast intertwine with the elevated alcohol warmth and clean, medium-bodied finish.

Tasting at Matt’s
Clear red amber color, bright. Smell of stale water. Sweet, strong candy and bubblegum flavor, strong alcohol feeling.
Un-Belgian, terrible.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, brown sugar, and light toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with brown sugar, toffee, Belgian yeast and bready malt. Pretty light-bodied for a quad, but it's pretty authentic. Finishes lightly sweet, with brown sugar and Belgian yeast. Nice stuff.

Dark amber, No head. Has some caramel, Lots of fruitiness, maybe pear. Sweet, some pear, a touch of stickiness. Honestly, this isn’t all that complex and that holds it back, because this style needs complexity.
