Draft @ the brewpub. Unfortunately this has been the only Mad Swede offering that I haven’t cared for… the nose was uninviting, something about it was chalky and dry, just seem off and to block most of the light hoppy bits. Flavor profile was a bit flat, bitters and more of the chalky dryness. Some pine and grapefruit try to come through, but for me it just didn’t jive.

On tap at the brewery. Deep golden amber with an off-white head and lacing. Toasted malted and some bitterness, but another IPA that just doesn’t quite hit that up front fresh hop flavor. Nearly an amber with a 30IBU shot in the arm.

Draft at brewery. This IPA towards the English style, leaning more on the malts than the hops. Mildly sweet, but finishes bitter. Dark golden with soft head, sweet caramel, toffee aroma. Slick slippery feel. Dry bitterness on the finish.
