Bottle from Total Wine, Lynnwood, WA
Bright amber color. Caramel based beer, malty, sweet, almost more Barley Wine than IIPA, good but not what is expected as IIPA.

Dark amber and hazy. Thin head. Big chewy nose, and on the palate it’s really only a little bit less chewy. Bitter but also quite sweet and some alcohol in the finish. Old school IIPA, but today just seems dated.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and sweet malt aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with spice. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Spice and grapefruit linger with pin and light sweet malt.

Bomber from the Portland CostCo in Happy Valley. Pours golden copper with a beige head. Aroma is floral and fruit - maybe even some tropicals. Med + body or better. It is very hoppy. The malt is roasty and the hop is fruit, and definitely includes tropicals. I might call dank, if the malt wasn’t so pervasive. It’s a hoppy monster, and quite bitter, but not in a biting way. A little hopburn tho. Impressive amount of ingredients.

Bottle from Safeway-Yakima. Starts off with a somewhat normal pour, murky amber and small airy head. Aroma also seem normal IPA, but fuller flavor flows, with gentle alcohol warmth. Hops kick in late, and linger long after the finish. Mild for an IIPA, but very accessible.

Bomber. Pours a clear dark copper color with a small white head. A big sweet resiny citrus hop nose. Rich, oranges, resin, big bitterness, orange peel. The malty background is big making this more like a super hoppy barley wine. Very good.

22oz bottle pours out a dark amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice caramel sweetness citrus and pine hops. Taste is more of the caramel sweetness citrus hops pine and a nice rich malt to help hold it together.
