Tap @ EBF 2008. Cinnamon, malt and caramel in the aroma. Firm roasted flavor with cinnamon and hints of ginger. Caramelly bitter finish. Well balanced, tasty, roasty and not too sweet. Well hopped, as you might expect from this brewery.

75cl bottle shared cortesy of Kermis. The cork exploded out of the bottle. Murky brown pour with a thick tan head. A little sour. As Kermis said, either it was wrong to start with or it didn’t age well.

Bottle shared. Pours murky brown with a thick tan head, after the bottle exploded like a shaken Champaigne. Aroma of malts, caramel, toffee and fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter and sour, perhaps a bad batch or didn’t age well. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle: deep chestnut-amber coloured, small lacy off-white head; robust caramelly-toasty nose, combined with a delicate fruitiness and bittering hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; increasing harsh bitterness in the sweet-malty and fruity finish. O.K., but very unharmonic......

Draft. An unclear amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has both sweet and acidic notes as well as notes of wood and vanilla. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with notes of alcohol and wood, leading to a very bitter finish. Nice body.

bottle, pours amber with a tall tan head. Prune and fig with some carmel malt in the nose. Smoked malt, some peat, and a bittersweet coffee ring out in the malty body. Finishes with an out of this world bakers chocolate/smoked expresso bean bitterness that is hard to put a finger on, but rocks. Tasty!
