330 ml sample bottle, a gift, as Little Valley Organic Python IPA. Brew #207, BB date 19.06. 2011. ABV is 6.0%. Cloudy brownish golden colour, large white head. Strong lemony and acidic / vinegary aroma, also hints of wild yeast / farmhouse. The flavour is very acidic, lemony and vinegary, with a sharp hoppy biiterness in the finish. This is the second beer past its BB date I’ve had from Little Valley, they have both gone sour. Apparently you should not even CONSIDER drinking their beers if they are past their BB date. Will rerate if I can find a fresh bottle.

Bottle courtesy of Slothez. Hazy amber pour with minimal head. Sweet malts and vague dusty hops in the restrained nose. Pretty uninspiring flavour with a little fruit and muffled hop. Dryish bitter finish. Average and rather unrefined stuff.

Gravicask, half at Bree Louise, Euston. Bright, amber-red body. No head, whatsoever. Aroma is made up of dried fruits along with fresh citrus notes. Ripe and dried fruits to the taste buds, a touch of pine, too. Oily bitter endnotes. Medium bodied. Pleasant (London, 31.07.2011).

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London. Pours clear, rich gold with no head. Slightly sour malts on the nose and some ripe fruits. Medium sweet flavor, some sweaty and slightly sour malts. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Mild warm finish, ripe fruits, slight dry leafy bitterness. Definitely a British IPA. Not bad.
