Draught at Darby’s Gastown, Vancouver; 9.1% ABV, as Boneyard 3 Headed Hop Monster
Golden color, clean. Nice aroma, orangey hops, mild mellow malt. Sweet malt base, strong; the hop is resiny, a bit orangey, lightly piney and dank; good but doesn’t seem superfresh, or maybe it has always been cloying.

On draft at Thai Me Up in Jackson. Pours a hazy brownish copper with an off white head. Aroma of mango. Flavors of tropical fruit with some light malt notes. Moderately bitter finish.

Draught @ Darby’s Gastown. Hazy amber with a bubbly head. Really big hop nose - orange, grapefruit, and some piney notes, too. Sweet, a little bit syrupy, intense with alcohol in the finish, along with citrus hop notes and a fair bit of bitterness. Probably more intense than I’d prefer - it’s on the big side of IIPA and that’s not optimal for me.

Draft - Caramel, syrupy notes and oily weedy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Oily luppulin notes and some Mandarin. Maybe a bit old, but I don’t get the hype, although the pedigree is pretty impressive.

On tap at Belmont Station for the 20th Anniversary events. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A big sweet resin nose, oranges. Very rich tropical resinous hops, mango, oranges, some light biscuit. Also, fairly bitter and aggressive. Smooth though. Very good.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops and biscuity malt to back. Flavour is wonderful, with loads of piney hops that coat the palate, a little bit of resin as well. Super piney and hoppy, but not much bitterness which is surprising. Exactly how I love my IIPAs. Fantastic stuff.

Bottle share from Toby. Nice blend of big hops, dank, musty, in your face. Almost heading into triple IPA territory. Three great brewers get together and make an excellent beer.

On tap at bier thirty Boise. Pours out a golden topped with a small white head. Nose is melons citrus tropical fruit and a nice caramel sweetness. Taste is more of the tropical fruit melon and thick malt. A very nice bitterness on the end that sticks with you. Another great collaboration.
