Pouring a deep copper, strong notes blackberry and strawberry jam fill your nose. A malty backbone carries notes of plum, blueberry, apricot, and raspberry on an incredibly smooth ride. The Blackthorn English Strong Ale finishes with a light bitterness to balance the sweet fruit qualities that emanate throughout the beer.

Nice modestly dense foam and a lighter brown body. Good aroma of sweet graham cracker, not too sweet though and a little dry. Flavour is heavy sour molasses with brown sugar hints. Medium finish, kind of wet. Okay strong ale though nothing beyond the usual.

Draft - Dark toffee notes. Cloudy copper with a small beige head. Caramel and toffee sweetness with a long slight boozy finish.

Draught @ Alibi Room. Hazy and amber, with a bunch of toastiness, and really just a yeasty note, and mostly just a boring ESA..

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy dark reddish colour with a small beige head. Aroma brings out English malt and a little caramel. Flavour is fairly sweet, with notes of caramel, English malt and toffee. Medium-bodied, with a nicely sweet finish.

Dark red-amber color, the tan head dissipates quickly. Served too cold. As the style commands, the profile is quite simple: caramel, some malt, moderate earthy hops; but the mild residual sweetness is pleasant, as well is the nutty touch, and the alcohol is well hidden. The malt has some depth.
