Aged for 12 months in Makers Mark bourbon barrels, lending intriguing flavors of vanilla, black licorice, molasses, and charred oak. A medium bodied, whiskey soaked, silky smooth mouth-feel shifts into a long finish, with hints of tannin and warming alcohol.

375mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out heaps of bourbon barrels upfront, with a touch of vanilla and light roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with bourbon barrels, roasted malt and a touch of vanilla. Bourbon-heavy and only lightly sweet. Very good.

Bottle - Big bourbon and woody notes with some big bitter roast. Jet black and a decent beige head. Much like it smells, big woody notes, slick oatmeal and a long roasty finish.

375ml bottle from Elizabeth Station at Alex’s. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is bourbon, dark chocolate. Taste is bourbon, fruity notes, hoppy and roasted malt bitterness. Quite nice stuff, despite it much bitter than I prefer.
