Smoked Porter. Pours a deep brown in colour with a tan head. The smokiness of the peated malts is matched by a smooth taste of toffee, caramel and dark fruits.

19-FEB-2017. BOTTLE past BB 6-JAN-2017. Almost black with Ruby highlights, creamy mocha head. Sweet chocolate and cold coffee is slowly replaced by subtle smokiness. Similar taste, lightly sweet, not very roasty. A solid spicy hoppy kick turns the sweet chocolate into black. Medium body, fine carbonation. Nicely done. 3,7/5.

Re-rate from the bottle, August 2014. Everything below applies, except the smoke is well in there. Ups it to a 3.5. Keg at Holyrood 9A. Pours dark brown with a decent creamy head. Aromas of coffee and milk chocolate, tastes the same, with a touch of roasted bitterness to balance the sweetness. Marking this down as there was no discernible smoke!

Draft at Euston Tap, London on 17 July 2013. Poured a very dark ruby, almost black with a thin off-white head. Aroma of coffee, burnt malt and a good hint of smokiness. Full mouth feel with flavours of bitter dark chocolate, more coffee and some cured meat notes. Rounded bitter palate mixed with some molasses.

On tap at The Bishop Arms Folkungagatan, pours a deep dal brown with and a small tan head. Aroma of dark toasted malt, tar, some smoked malt, and rubber. Flavour brings out smoke and bacon upfront, and with moderate toasted malt. Quite smoky for a porter, which characterizes the flavour profile in this one. Fairly drinkable, but a little too smoky for my palate. Decent.
