Dark amber-brown. No head. Mild chocolate nose, but not offering much nuance. Sweet, cocoa, again not much nuance. That really is an issue with the base beer, a flat lifeless porter that even a hit of coffee roast and chocolate syrup can’t save.

Draft - Mellow cold pressed coffee, deep clear Amber with a small head. Light coffe, touch of sweetness and a long finish. Just basic light coffee and not much else.

On tap at Callister, pours a hazy dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out lightly toasted malt, plenty of coffee and almost a tart red fruitiness. Flavour follows accordingly, with coffee, red fruits and toasted malt. Low carbonation but it's suitable. Not the most complex beer, but everything is integrated reasonably enough. Palate is flat, which makes it more lifeless than it should be. Okay.

Draught at Callister, Vancouver
The color is dark, near black, no head. Very light generic coffee aroma, old Danish bar the morning after, drunk DTES breath. The body is less strong than expected, while the alcohol feeling is too evident; anonymous malt base, old coffee dredges, and a high level of acidity that has no place here.
Messy and not too pleasant; I was hoping for something better, but Lightheart is still Lightheart.
