Tasting with Alex, Brian and George. Growler from the Callister (thx, Alex!). Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma is very raw (kind of cave), with piney notes. Taste is piney bitterness. Not bad.

Growler from Callister, Vancouver
Hazy blond color. Nice animal hop aroma, that’s the Mosaic, with some citrus.Dry mouthfeel, yet bold; delicate flavor of crisp malts, followed by extremely piney hops, a bit dank; I’m sure the 2 weeks in the fridge cured it a bit. Very nice.

Hazy and a bit dull. Thin head. Tropical, slightly, hop nose. Muddled with yeast issues, stewed fruit, the hops are a bit of a mess, finishes ok but the malts are a bit soupy. Basically muddled, overripe, and a touch ropey.

Draft - Very juicy citrus and some stone fruit. Cleanish gold with a decent white head. Citrus, touch of funk, vanilla and bitterness, juicy notes don’t really translate to the taste with the bitterness.

On tap at Callister, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is wonderfully dank, with lots of piney hops, some tropical fruitiness and a slight herbal quality. Flavour is very pungent and dry, with lots of piney and dank hops upfront, with a pronounced herbal quality and finishing rather floral. Quite assertive in the astringency on the finish, but in a very tasteful way. Very nice stuff.
