Taster at Alibi Room. Pours an almost black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt. Taste is similar with some light fruity notes. Low to moderately sweet dark malts. Not overly complex, but it is definitely a good porter.

Okay antique white foam on a darker brown body with strong carbonation. Molasses dominates a rather mellow aroma, perhaps some chocolate brownie in there but very subtle. The flavour is a lot of dark sugary syrup followed by a rather medium slight sugary finish. In terms of baltic porters this needs more oomph in every category.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour with some red or amber hue, small tan head. Mild aroma of dark caramel, touch of chocolate, bread. The flavour is along the same lines, light sweetness, I like the touch of burnt wood, lean mouthfeel.
Quite good and in line with the style.

Medium brown colour with a bubbly head. The aroma is light schwarzbier. On the palate, it has a little bit of body, but not much. Gets more in the direction of sweet toffee-caramel...the finish is thin. Itβs not a bad beer, but itβs not even close to a Baltic porter, and would be fairly light and unexciting as a schwarzbier.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of dry cocoa, toasted bread and a little toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted bread, toffee and powdery soft cocoa. Soft body, with a dry cocoa-y finish. Nice stuff.
