Muddy copper body, strong malt smell which is nice. Flavour is soft malt with a bit of lemony kick. Medium on the mouth. Adequate attempt at the style.

Cask - Apple and some woody. Toes. Clear gold with a frothy white head. Carame and twig with some cedar notes. Not bad, but the spicy woody is a bit new.

Cask at the brewery. Cloudy, ugly amber-brown. Aroma is brown sugar, light esters. Light malt, sticky a bit, touch of esters, but a bit muddled.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy light amber color. The aroma has gentle fruity esters, the mouthfeel is soft, moderately sweet, good malts, fruity, with a good yeast character, fairly true Bitter. Slightly metallic in the final, but acceptable.
Very nice.

On cask at Moody Ales, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is very restrained, with British malt and some metallic notes. Flavour is odd, with lots of metallic notes, bready malt and butterscotch. Tastes rather stale, as many bitters do. Decent attempt, but fails to come off as truly authentic.
