When we began to think about a series of bolder beers with higher alcohol content we wanted to elucidate it to our consumers. Therefore, we call this series of beer Thurbo. Our neighboring village is called Turbo and we chose to go with the old spelling of that village. We’ve used big amounts of munchener malt that contributes with a malt sweetness and a touch of biscuitness. The residual sweetness takes the edges of the high alcohol content and the bitterness. The hop varieties lend a mixed bag of grape and citrus with slight herbal elements.

At Oliver twist. Pours clear amber. Ok white head. Smell is malty, hoppy, orange, fruity, bit bitter. Taste is full, great bitterness. Very Nice hoparoma, in a sticky, rather sweet way. Not as fruity as others, but i don’t mind that at all. Well balanced malty backbone. Very Nice

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma has notes of orange and tangerine, hints of orange zest, caramel malty basis with a touch of almond. Taste is moderately bitter, citrusy hoppy, notes of orange, tangerine and lemon, a cautious touch of liquorice, caramel malty basis; lasting bitter, minimally alcoholic finish.

An slightly orange, a head is weak and blond. Aroma has mangos, caramel and some citrusfruits. Taste has some tropical fruits, caramel, quite strong bitterness, some wood. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Not so fresh anymore. Balanced sweetness but too less of fruitness.

Pours a fairly clear amber color, topped with a medium small white creamy head. Mild sweet fruity notes with malty backbone, some resin presence. Quite sweet and malty start, moderate bitterness. Oild and a bit sticky texture. Medium full body. Alcohol is very well hidden. Decent one.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Virtually clear golden, off-white head. Aroma is malts, citrus and spicy hops - and none of these is dominating. The taste is quote big (it is a double IPA after all) and just as well balanced. The smooth malty sweetness flows into a progressively more bitter and spicy finish. A smooth soft body. There’s nothing jumping at you in this beer, but it a case when less is more. Excellent.
