On tap. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel and craft root beer. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, lactose, caramel and light cinnamon in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A little sweet, but enjoyable.

Black with brown head.Light sasparilla nose, even lighter in palate. Notes of dry roast and licorice? Thin bodied

Bottle - Sweet root beer herbs and chocolate notes. Deep jet black brown with a nice brown head. Dark roast, anise and root beer notes. This is suprisingly OK and not just a root beer but a beer with some root beer flavors.

Black colour. Aroma is heavy liquorice...much heavier than you’d normally find in a root beer. It’s still heavy on the palate, but with a roasty accent, a fair bit of sweetness, balanced, has a roasty dryness and the herbs contribute bitterness. Not bad. Definitely better than expected.
