Barley Wine Chardonnay Barrels

Vanilla, coconut, apricot and peach sit upon heavy notes of molasses and fruitcake with a touch of citrus. En Blanc was fermented with wine yeast and aged for one year in Chardonnay barrels giving this Barley Wine style ale a unique flavour profile and bright finish.
Just like you, this beer ages well.

Brown color, opaque, with frothy head. Clear Chardonnay oak barrel in the aroma, some vegetables. Mild body, mild sweetness; earthy malts, buttery barrel flavor, astringent and earthy in the final.
Not good.

Medium brown. Toasty oak nose but it’s stale and musty. On the palate, the barley wine sweetness is prominent, and again more oaky notes. So maybe some balance compared with the other one. Some light white wine notes like peach or apricot, but I wouldn’t say they go well with this sweet beer.

Bottle - Caramel and light creamy notes. Cloudy dark brown with a small white head. Caramel, light bitter sour woody ones.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a little butter, some caramel and toasted caramel bready malt. Flavour brings out caramel, bready malt and a little butter. Not totally infected, but this is about as shitty a barley wine as you could make without being infected. No good.roasty,
