This a brown ale by nearly every account. It doesn’t have any of the classical Belgian flavours. It is nutty and fairly mild for a 7% abv beer. 2016 Advent Calendar

Bottle - Sweet toffee and some woody notes. Dark brown with a small white head. Dark cocoa and some toffee notes. Dark and malty.

Brown color. Caramel tones with some vegetables (cabbage, celery), and almost no bitterness; the sweetness is not really there, it’s mostly because of the lack of bitterness. Terribly boring.

Has a hazy light brown colour. The aroma is not much. Bit sweet, has a brown sugar note, but not much of one. Everything is kind of muted. A bit of cinnamon. Not all that interesting.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out some licorice, followed by some bubblegum, and some candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with light licorice, candied sugar, a little bubblegum and dark fruits. Not overly well-integrated and rather sweet, but not elegant or with much depth. Okay.

Pünktlich zum Krampus-Tag ist im Adventkalender dieses Bier drinnen, das ich bis jetzt noch nicht gekannt habe. Daher war ich schon sehr neugierig es zu kosten. Doch dann war ich auch etwas enttäuscht, da es sehr langweilig geschmeckt hat. Es hat weder eine feine Bitternote, noch halte ich den Namen Sweet Krampus gerechtfertigt, da auch die Süße nicht so ausgeprägt ist. Keine Empfehlung von mir.

330ml bottle from 2016 craft beer advent calendar. Pours a clear red-brown with a small, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, spicy aroma of dark malt, cinnamon, bread, dried fruit, molasses and just a hint of orange. Sweet flavour of dark malt, dark fruit, bread and spicy cinnamon with mildly bitter orange peel in the finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Ok.
