Oak-aged IPA
A balance of bright hop notes, deep oak, and malty richness to provide a pleasant and intriguing beer.

Poured from 1L bottle. Clear amber brown with beige head. Mild oak, hint of caramel malt, very light pine hops. Is almost as if they made a crappy IPA and said, "I know how we can save this... we can age it in oak so people will buy it." Not terrible, but very average.

On tap at Devil's Elbow, pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out light toasted oak and subdued hoppy resins. Flavour is quite malty, with lots of caramel, subdued hop resins and light toasted oak. Sweet and malty, with very subdued hops. Solid stuff.

Draught at Devil's Elbow, Vancouver; 12oz
Dark amber color, hazy. The aroma is mild, resiny, dusty, some dark malts. Lean mouthfeel, lean caramel flavor, off-dry, and then roasted nuts, enough hop to be called IPA, not enough hop quality for 2016 though, dusty piney resins.
Clean, but it's an old sub-style.

Fairly hazy amber...thin head. Honestly this is not that attractive. Has a nice balance of oak and hop, with a mellow caramel accent. Pretty good, strongly oaked.
