Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a pretty gold with no head. Crazy unique nose: Tart acidic apple aromas with lemon, smoke and duck fat. Light body, tannic...funky horse blanket. Umami, more apple on the palate. Like dried apples, musty and funky. Lowish carbonation, but a lot of flavor. Really enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Basque on 28 Sep 2017 at 21:12 - Score: 8. Original review text: Very interesting cider. Bottle at the RateBeer DC Cider tasting. Apple, fizzy. Poured at probably the appropriate height outside. Hazy golden color with a small head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was apples, light yeast notes. Flavor was slightly fizzy apple notes. Light apple peel.

Bottle - Lots of funk and farmhouse notes. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Lots of horse blanket and a light acidity and dry finish. Very nice.
