Black color with large creamy head. As usual the nitro is an aroma and flavor killer, but the beer seems a bit too ashy, roasty, and the final has some roasted nuts.

On tap at Gruff, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a large cascading tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats upfront, with subdued roast and coffee. Flavour is very smooth, with a nice character of oats, roasted malt and espresso. Low bitterness and smooth all round. A cohesive and robust Irish stout. Very good.

Nitro, at the brewery, where it was called "Nitro Stout". Light brown. Toasty nose, sweet, some fudgey notes. Lightish body.
