Black color, small head. Nice aroma, some roasted malt, some read wine. Lean body, very low sweetness, high roastiness, but also nice roasted nuts; mild red wine character, astringency, Sherry wines.
Not my favourite style of Imperial Stout but there is enough going on here.

Bottle - Red fruit, vinous and barrel notes with some dark roast. Deep dark brown with a small light brown head. Chocolate, dark roast and a nice long finish. Very solid.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt upfront, with a touch of red wine and wood. Flavour is dry, with lots of roasted malt upfront, followed by bone dry red wine barrels and wood. A little bit of tartness from the red wine on the finish, along with dry roast. Nothing overly deep, but the barrel aging is done very well. Nice stuff.
