On tap at the brewery. Clear pale golden with a white head. Aroms with some not pleasant chemical (phenols?), crispy, piney, flowery, looks like they used some European hops. Crispy, aggresive bitternes in taste and aftertaste. I would say it is more Pilsner, than ISA.

Cloudy, thin head, aroma has some biscuity malt, and that character dominates. There’s a lot of bitterness, it’s a bit harsh but it seems like something the brewer should be able to dial in.

On tap at Strathcona, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light dry piney hops and crisp crackery malt in a pretty restrained way but good balance. Flavour is very subdued but clean, with restrained dry hopping and a bone dry biscuity malt backbone. Finishes with a fairly aggressive but unobtrusive astringency. Solid but tame.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond color, compact head. Once again, it’s a bit smelly, more wet paper than manure, but also with some tiny tropical fruitiness. The mouthfeel is not too dry, quite smooth; the flavor presents some cereals, wet paper, husks (in other words, not the best malt profile, but it’s not catastrophic), followed by strong bitterness , some hop resins, some citrus zest, but unfortunate lack of fruit.
Nice ISA, with such a level of bitterness it’s surely thirst quenching.
