473mL can. Pours deep amber with minimal white head. Aroma is pretty simple; some caramel-ish malts and some floral notes. Flavour is also light sweet malts and some light floral tones, presumably from the heather. Fairly simple, but not bad.

Poured from the tap. Clear amber brown with small white head. Pale English malt, mild floral hops. Okay.

On tap. Has an aroma of sweet honey, some malt, and a good cloudy orange body with very modest white foam. Flavour is good sweet carrot mixed with malty grain. Mouthfeel is full enough. I do like what they did here, very drinkable.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Tom L. Clear golden, white head. Spicy, malt, a bit of honey, sweetish, light sourish hint, bitterish finish, medium-bodied.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2016, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is pretty light, with only subtle notes of heather. Flavour is along the same lines: really light, with mild spiciness from the heather and a little biscuity malt. Not much going on here. Meh.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, as Salt Spring Heatherdale
Hazy deep blond color; creamy head. Light aroma. Weak body, watery mouthfeel, light corny and papery flavor. Low bitterness. A very poor Lager.

Beige colour with slight haze. Fruity aroma - raspberry and heather notes. Sour, with hints of heather and pale bready malt. I can’t fault the tartness because these ancient ales can be interpreted that way, but in this case it was a bit too much given the subtlety of the heather signature.
