It is said that when you drink Sparkling Wine you are drinking stars. The feisty finish of Granny Smith apples is the star of this show. Celebrate with eggs Benedict for breakfast, mix a Mimosa for lunch or enjoy it when the stars come out to play.

750mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with quickly-dissipating white head. Nose is somewhat champagne-like, with crisp apple skin character and dry apple core. Flavour is very dry, with lots of apple skins, champagne-like effervescence, and a touch of apple core. The booze is aggressive but it works. Not good but easy enough to drink.

Light pale straw body, good carbonation, minimal foam. Chewy sweet apple on the nose but a little buttery, vinous, plenty of sweetness. Taste is heavy and musty, chewy apple skin, no indication of fruity finesse to help smooth it out. Some lingering sugar, warming and a little boozy. Somehow missing the mark on what should be a slam dunk.

From the bottle, at the farm
So pale, almost transparent. Light cider aroma, off-dry, moderately carbonated, the acidity is quite high, I may sense some acetic acid too. Simple and flawed.

Bottle - Boozy, green apple with some sweetness. Pale straw with decent bubbles. Boozy Apple and lots of flesh. OK, but a bit of bitterness and only light acidity.
