Bouteille 330ml à 7% abv, courtoisie de SlovakSniper. De couleur brune-ambrée et voilée. Nez de malt fumé (fumée de bois, notes de jambon fumé) aux notes rôties, moyen de caramel et de biscuits, léger de houblon herbeux avec des notes fruitées (figues). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement doux-moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement huileuse et aux notes crémeuses. Goût de malt fumé (fumée de bois, léger de jambon fumé à l’érable) avec un léger goût fruité (léger de raisins, notes de figues, traces de petits fruits confits) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un moyen goût de caramel aux notes rôties et terreuses ainsi que des traces de biscuits puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux aux petites notes florales. Post-goût long-moyen et un peu sec, léger-moyen amer de houblon herbeux, de malt fumé aux notes rôties.

Aroma has smoke, some bready mallt and tar. Flavour is nice with tar, some smoke, bready malt and hints of herbs. Somewhat sticky palate. Good.

Bottle at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is a little malty but weak. The flavour is indeed smokey, but it does not overpower the beer. There is also some malt and spicy bitterness that make this a refreshing and tasty ale. A winner from Emelisse.

03/12 0.33 l bottle @El Estribo, Madrid. It poured hazy darker copper body with medium sized brownish head. Smoked cheese and jamon Iberico aroma. Nice smoked flavor, ham, cheese, bean and pea soup, lightly sweet like caramel and dark chocolate. Nicely full, rounded body with pleasant, earthy and cheese finish. Heavily smoked, in a pleasant way, rounded with some gentle malts, which is exactly my cup of tea. Good recommendation of the waiter, thanks!

Bottle. Clear chestnut with a thin head. Aroma is bacon and ash. Flavour starts out quite an intense raunchier but the gets overtaken by a kinda strange lightly acidic dryness.

0.33l bottle. This is a light cloudy deep dark amber one, packed with small unfiltered floaters floating about in the glass and it has a small quickly islandy and sidesticking grey. And bubbly top. On the nose I get burned ashy bacon with a clear sweetness. Some ham-hints also perhaps and I'm thinking reddishes. No doubt that it's a smoked alright. The taste also, lot's of burned side bacon with some light astringent ashy campfire rocks. The bitterness is present, and so is traces of alcohol. On the carbonation this is pretty much average and the general mouthfeel is light oily. Some floral touches in the aftertaste, side by side the smoked malts. Not a horrible smoked - a genre I'm not crazy excited about normally. 30.11.2012

Bottle - Lots of smoke but tempered with a dark fruit and molasses sweetness. Muddy light brown with a minimal head. Taste is very sweet, brown sugar and smoke, with hints of red fruit. No alcohol or bitterness to speak of and a long lingering finish. A bit sweet for my tastes, but still pretty good.

Botle from Salling. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are smoke, bacon, ashy notes, caramel and hops. Nice smoked.

Reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of smoked cheese (rookkaas), light smoked ham, smoke in general. Sweet malty flavour, smoke, smoked eel. Smoky sweet finish, ham, eel.
Quite nice and balanced smoke.
