22oz bomber pours with a nearly clear copper body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up tangerines, blood oranges, a thin layer of floral and spicy hops, crystal malts and a sliver of spicy black licorice. The taste delivers malt sweetened blood orange and tangerine like citrus notes as well as a wafer thin layer of floral hops and spicy Cascade like hoppiness. Beneath the hops is a modest blend of malts, nuttiness and crystal malts. Pretty nice clean offering that ends on the thin side.

Hazy amber. Very orangey nose, with some grapefruity hop. Bitterness is high, not a lot of nuance, just orangey fruitiness. Malts are sweet, sticky...again not much nuance.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy golden color, small head. I actually get orange blossom in the aroma; and malt, some hops. Lean body, moderately sweet, nice malt flavor, delicate, strong bitterness, pithy bitterness in the final, bitter orange peel.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of blood oranges upfront, followed by some resinous hops and a big caramel malt -- but the oranges are huge on this. Flavour is cloyingly sweet and dominated by the oranges -- followed by like resinous hops and sweet caramel. The oranges ruin this for me. Way too sweet and fruity. Not my thing.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light orange. Medium bodied. Very good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light orange.

22 oz. bomber. 7 days from the bottling date. It pours an ultra clear orange color with a creamy off white head. The aroma is juicy with lots of orange, touches of mango, fruit candies and light florals. The flavor is full with biscuits, caramel, fruit candies, orange with hints of spicy/floral hops in the finish. The orange character is subdued and possibly covered over by some pretty strong maltiness. Very fresh and clean tasting though. Ok overall.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber/orange/gold with a white head. Aroma is hop - earthy/pine - not much citrus for me. Med + body. Flavor is orange/pine. It’ very bitter. The citrus is "fresher/juicier" than common. Not quite dry. Fruity/bitter finish. Can’t wait for the pink grapefruit version.
