Can from the brewery. I can’t help but think this batch was rushed. The malts are incredibly sweet, and taste of cooked veggies, and there is a huge amount of buttery diacetyl. The finish taste of sweet malts and creamed corn. This was rough....

Can - Odd sweet chemical like notes, may be honey but doesn’t smell right. Clear gold with a small white head. Same sweetness as in the nose.

Tasting at Matt’s; can
Blond color. Nasty aroma, sweet, stale, sticky, with a touch of watermelon. Poor flavor, mild residual sweetness, hint of honey, and very low bitterness.
Cloying and difficult to drink.

500mL can, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of honey upfront -- it's unusual for honey lagers to actually have detectable honey in them. Flavour doesn't bring out the honey as much, with subdued honey, corn and straw. Decent enough, but it's of course super bland.

This honey lager poured a clear light yellow with a bright white, smooth foamy head. Scents include light hops and mineral water. Not much on the nose... First swig was smooth with medium carbonation and flavours of corn and lightly bitter hops. Finish is a little bitter on the tongue with corn flavour lingering.

Decently done lager. Not too much honey, good balance for a lager. Pours gold with ok head and lacing. Sampled at the Winterbrewed festival in Ottawa.
