A fruity blond beer with an explosion of citrus, resulting from dry-hopping with the American hops breed Cascade. In order to maintain the hoppy aroma as much as possible, the beer isn’t filtered. It is slightly cloudy and has a snow white head. It is served in a robust, accompanying glass. The beer was created in honour of Ter Dolen’s co-founder Armand Desplenter, the father of current director Mieke Desplenter.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Kraddel. Light golden, white bubbles. Nose is musty, touch herbal, fruity, almond, sweet sugar with some caramel. Bitter yeast taste, herbs, sweetish with white sugar, overripe apple, caramel. High carb. Not bad.

Bouteille: Golden and a bit unclear with a big fluffy white head, citrussy nose, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering citrussy and pale-malty finish. Good, no doubt, but hardly exciting…

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big and loose foamy white head. Mildly yeasty, fruit-accented hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, grapefruit, a tinge of ginger spice, backed by delicately grainy pale malt. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a modest carbonation. Mildly biscuity and grainy malty aroma with present fruity hops from the middle part, lingering into the still malty finish with a lasting hoppy aftertaste. The alcohol is well-masked. 30.IX.13

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Summer meadow, hay, caramel and yeast aromas. Sharp with dusty caramel and ripened fruit upfront turning dry in the lasting earthy bitter hot finish.

Bottle shared by nuplastikk. Thanks greg. Fruity with some citrus. Decent malt backbone with some herbs and spices on the end. Wow, this beer impressed me quite a bit.

750ml plastic corked bottle. Hazy yellow-tan color, slight green pils haze. Foamy, glass lacing head. Dry, grassy hop aroma, some lemony brewhouse malt. Quite nice, a Belgian Pils done big and right. Fresh and zesty, with classic buttery(not off), grassy, flowery Pils tones. Thicker and with alcohol of course, and also with a great champagne effervescence. Right on.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy pale yellow colour, huge white head. Smells malts, herbs and spices. Tastes like a fresh tripel, not too much herbs and spices (thank god), apple, fresh, quite nice. Medium body, nice fitting carbo.

75cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellow color, huge soapy white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly grassy, slightly musty, a hint of citrus and a touch of sour that gives it a nice twist. Medium carbonation and body. Decent.
