Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10th Anniversary party
Dark brown color, almost black. Dark caramel, almost chocolate, in the nose but even more in the flavor, with moderate sweetness, full body.
This is like an excellent Doppelbock.

Bottle - Dark chocolate and molasses with some cherry fruity notes. Jet black with a beige head. Malty, touch of barrel and sweetness. Some fruity yeast notes linger in the finish, but overall ok.

On the 10th anniversary of Alibi Room. Pours an almost black with no head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark fruits, some resin notes. Taste is roasted malt, dark fruits. Burnt malt and hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Very good.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Nose brings out lots of German lager yeast, light oak and caramel. Flavour is quite robust, with bready malt, caramel, and oak chips. The German lager yeast works very well in this. Quite nice.
