Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10th Anniversary party
Brewed in 2014?

Murky purple colour. Mild aroma of currants, jam. Nothing like the old Storm Lambic, this one has its acidity concealed by the currant purée, and eventually doesn’t even taste like beer. Too muddy.

On the 10th anniversary of Alibi Room. Looks like a smoothie with a mix of black and red currant. Aroma is currant with sugar. Taste is the same - sour and currant. Sweet-sour aftertaste with currant notes. I like such smoothies :-)

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a filthy purple with a frothy pink head - looks like a smoothie. Aroma brings out a lot of earthy notes upfront, with light tartness and only faint black currant. Flavour has the consistency of a smoothie, with a rather nasty palate. The flavours are quite earthy, with only subtle tartness, lots of soil, and black currant. He should've run this through a strainer. Not like a lambic at all. It's basically like an alcoholized fruit smoothie. I remember the original being much better.

Luckily, subsequent glasses of this looked much clearer and didn't have the nasty smoothie like feeling. Tasted more or less the same though.

Draft - Dark Berry and some red bean. Purple with a small white head. Red bean and plum, touch of manure with almost no acidity. Surprisingly restrained and mellow.
