Most definitely, this first and foremost a wheat ale. You can taste the wheat from start to finish. A faint toasted note from the addition of flaked oats is present in the beer as well. This is a light bodied beer that finishes with a spicy layer in the end. The overall impression should be an easy-to-drink refreshing ale.

750 ml bottle bought somewhere I can’t remember. Pours hazy pale golden with a frothy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet, slightly fruity, slightly spicy and slightly phenolic with wheat crackers, coriander, lemon zest, hay, honey, white pepper corns, dry soil, dry wood and hints of white grapes. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, tiny fruity and slightly spicy with wheat crackers, honey, coriander, cloves, white pepper corns, dry soil, hay, lemon zest and hints of grapefruit rinds, honeydew melon and white grapes. Mouthfeel is soft, slightly round, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and spicy with wheat crackers, honey, grapefruit rinds, hay, lemon zest, white pepper corns, coriander, cloves and dry soil. I quite liked the honey influence in this one. It supported the salty crayfish we had for dinner very well.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a lightly hazy pale golden beer, topped by a white head. Lots of spent pale malts in the aroma, with fruity notes. Yellow apples and some pears. Medium body, dry, with an appropriate carbonation level. Fruity flavor with a touch of pale malts. Not much spiciness going on. Long grainy and fruity finish. Nice, but far from the best wit I’ve had. 130815

Bottled 750ml. -from Za Popen’t Pivoteka, Ljubljana. Yellow coloured, small white head, intensive spicy coriander nose. Sweet malty, wheaty and fresh spicy with notes of coriander and citrus. Light yeasty fruity finish. Smooth and easy-drinkable brew. Nice Witch.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden amber color with a 2 finger foamy and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of pear, grape, apple, lemon zest, orange zest, coriander, pepper, clove, floral, wheat, honey, bread, and herbal earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of yeast esters with spices and a good amount of malt balance; and nice strength. Taste of pear, apple, lemon zest, orange zest, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, honey, floral, bread, and herbal earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, citrus zest, coriander, wheat, bread, clove, honey, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of yeast ester and spice flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent witbier. All around great balance, complexity, and robustness of flavors for 4.8%; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at home. The colours is slightly hazy straw-yellow with a white medium head. Aroma of coriander, lime, sweet corn, hay and Belgian yeast. I find the same in the flavour which is balanced and nice. Has a soft and rich mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced and very classic wit.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear pale golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma is a bit weird, lightly herbs or spices, grainy. Not how a Belgian White is supposed to smell imo. Taste is also not a Belgian White. Grainy, dusty, zesty, yeasty, slightly herbs and spices. No, don’t like it.

Bottle @ benzai. Crystal clear yellow colour with a small white head. Smells pilsener, herbs and spices, malts and grains, sweetish, floral. Tastes herbs, malts, sweet, floral, blossom, some mint. Not bad, but it?s not really a witbier if you ask me. Nice thin body, easily drinkable, soft carbo, well balanced.

75 cl bottle @ olio, bottled 26.07.2012
Aroma has soapy citrus, some oranges, wheaty notes and honey. Flavour has fruit juice, some citrus and orange. Palate is slightly too high on CO2. Dry and slightly tart finish with grapefruit. I think they’ve got all the citrus fruits in this bottle.
