Light gold in colour, bursting with citrus and tropical hop flavours and sensationally refreshing. The original UK Citra. In 2009 on his annual hop sourcing visit to the USA, Oakham's Brewing Director John Bryan discovered an exceptional new hop variety - Citra. He rushed it to the UK, ensuring that Oakham Ales were the first UK brewery to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops and maintaining Oakham's reputation for pioneering innovation. ABV: 4.2% in cask, 4.6% in bottle.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Pours pale golden with a medium white foam. Aroma is peachy and lemon, citrus, fresh citra hops, some malt, very nice! Flavour is perfectly balanced, medium bitterness, malt, clean and quite dry end, drinkable. It has a lot of character! Well done!

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with a touch of herbs and shrubs, notes of black currant, gooseberry, elderberry. Taste delivers a bitter-herbal mixture of the very same flavours, incorporated by a minimally sweet pale malty basis; minimally chalky, mineral finish. Soft palate with excellent, gentle carbonation.

Pours a fairly clear pale yellow to golden color, topped with a very nice white frothy head. It’s got that inviting citrusy hops aroma, some otehr fruits in there too. Starts fruity with immediate hoppiness kicking in. Bitterness in the finish and some of it lasting in the aftertaste. Very nice.

From bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 13.10.14. Very pale, slightly hazy, golden. Diminishing white head. Aroma of lemon, gooseberries, tropical fruits and 7-UPs. Almost, but not quite, bordering to feline urine. Similar, but a bit waterish taste and mouthfeel.

500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of Citra hops, notes of citrus fruits and gooseberries, hints of tropical fruits. Distinctly hoppy flavour on a tolerable malty base, notes of citrus, gooseberries and tropical fruits again, grapefruity and wormwoodlike bitterness in the dry finish. Long, bitter and rather sharp aftertaste.
