Murky dark brown body with no foam, very soft chewy sweet barley on the nose. Flavour is a soft barley with a kind of sweet black tea character with plenty of sugar. Full enough on the mouth. Unique if nothing else, I've never tasted a porter like this. I'm not sure if I like it but I will certainly remember it.

On tap at Wolf, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry toasted malts that dominate. Flavour is toasty and rather fruity, with crisp toasted malt and a dark fruitiness to it. Thin palate to it, with some off-notes that are inexplicable. Not very refined.

Draft - Chocolate and some roast. Deep jet brown with a decent small light brown head. Light chocolate and a very nice mellow dark malts. Very easy drinking although a bit heavy on the palate.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with little head. Aromas of roasted malts, nuts, and instant coffee. Oily as stated, though still has lots of carbonation. Flavors of roasted malts and watery dark fruit. It’s light. OK it’s a porter, but something is missing. It’s refreshing (odd comment for a porter) but not lasting.
