Tap @ Seattle Beer Co. Pours misty gold with a fleeting, faint purple tint. Aroma has light blueberry, wheaty malt. Nice blueberry influence to taste, soft palate, gentle smooth grain, fine easy afternoon sipper.

On tap at April Brews Day, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dry and blueberry dominated. Flavour is along the same lines, with faint blueberry skins and not much else. Pointless weak beer. No good.

Draft - Bad blueberry and pale malts. Not event sweet and artificial just bad. Clear gold with a decent white head. Tastes as it smells. Not well done.

12oz can poured into the fancy Sam Adams pint glass. Small head that lasts for a while. Lightly hazy dull golden color. Now, I wouldn’t ordinarily buy a beer like this but I was looking for beers to buy for my mother-in-law who was visiting. She likes wheat beers but nothing hoppy or estery. Clean wheat beers are surprisingly hard to find. Also, I wanted to try something that would be somewhat appealing to me. I bought 3 beers, DFH Namaste was the only one that the madre-en-ley, which is the first time I have spent money on DFH in maybe over 5 years. This was sort of interesting because I am not against the idea of fruit wheat beers but they are so rarely done well. And this beer isn’t spectacular but this style wont be. The blueberry isn’t overly artificial but pleasantly present. Clean wheat beer, low hops, low bitterness. I see why people could like this.

Tap at Backwoods, Carson, 24/05/13. This beer was listed on their menus as ’Brewberry Wheat’ - correction sent, also @5.8% ABV on my visit. Clear pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is blueberries, grass, cereals. Taste follows, sugary blueberry notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish. Possibly refreshing on a hot day but otherwise sub par, too sweet and not subtle enough on the berry front.
