Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown color, near black. Strange aroma, caramel candies, cheese. A bit chocolatey, dark caramel, medium sweet, but also dull.
Not classy, but drinkable.

Dark brown and cloudy, rich aroma with some toast, roast but a touch of tartness as well. A bit of toast, and a touch of tar.

Bottle -’Darker chocolates and a touch of liquid smoke. Deep dark brown with a small beige head. Woody, char and nutty with a bit of a bitter finish. A bit weak for a RIS.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a mix of lightly smoked malt, some cheese, and toasted notes. Flavour is not very smoked at all, with lots of roasted malt, oats, and cocoa notes. Quite dry, with a roasty body and a dry oaty finish. Solid stuff.
