Little cloudy golden yellow beer. Creamy off-white head. Lots of carbon in the glass. Aroma: typical bretta, touch of oak, sour apples. MF: fresh and medium to full body. Taste: fresh tart with a bit wry aftertaste. On warming up a certain fruitiness becomes more present.

01/06/2011 37.5cl bottle @ home - bottled 01/2009 (2011-RR)

Clear light orange beer under a small off-white creamy head, unstable. Aroma: lemons, green apples, pretty fruity. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity (for a geuze of course), tangerines, lemon juice, oranges, little bit of bretta basement flavour, but not much. Aftertaste: lemon and limes, little bit of pineapple. The acid is stinging the whole mouth after drinking. Perfect for a hot summer afternoon.

Bottle. Pours radioactive orange. Nose of tart fruit, dried grapefruit, tangerine rind and basement funk. Taste was a little flat, mostly tart fruit, grapefruit skin and tangerine rind.

375ml bottle from Ohtsuki. 2006. Lovely, dry, fruity aroma. Citrus, leather, dust. Quite fragrant and very dry. Medium orange gold with a thin head. Very sour, lemony, dry flavor, grapefruit too. Leather, funk, wood, extremely dry finish. Very flavorful. Pretty well carbonated, with the perfect amount of residual sugar. Love it.

Bottled 375ml vintage Jan 2009
At first clear (later a bit hazy), deep golden color, small white head. Tart nose has peach, leather and grapefruit. A bit "fizzy", carbonated mouthfeel. Tartness, grapefruit, peach, easy going sour-fruity finish and aftertaste. Beer has ageing potential, now already good and especially quite fruity, but probably is more dry after the years.

375ml bottle dated January 2009. Pours exactly the way I wanted - a decent amount of head and an amber body. Aroma is deep sour wood notes, fermented hay, lemon. Taste is light, very sour, lots of lemon and a very dry finish. A very good gueuze.
