Voor de Oude Geuze worden jonge lambik, met minimum een jaar rijping, en oude lambik, met minimum twee jaar rijping, gemengd volgens de smaak van de geuzesteker. Eenmaal op fles volgt de laatste rijpingsfase. Resultaat is een bier van spontane gisting met een typische smaak en mooie schuimkraag.
Deze geuze wordt ook nog omschreven als vrij droog, bitter en relatief minder zuren.

From the bottle at a tasting at Beer Out, Forlì, Italy. Pours a golden ramen, medium transparent, with no foam. Aroma is resinous, winey, just a little funky. Body is average, with no carbonation. Nice astringency. Taste is medium-high sour. Final is rather long.

Drunk whilst my chicken wings are smoking, under the new mini pergola to keep my grill dry in rain and snow. Medium gold, no head, sour and slightly funky nose. Flavor is smooth, notes of stone fruits and apple. Moderate sour character, not overwhelming, maybe a 6 out of 10 on the sour which is a good spot to be. Moderately complex, very tasty.

Bottle.
A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, off white head.
A- Apple skins, hay, funk, dust, barnyard.
F- Hay, funk, oak, dusty, lemon.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish.
O- Okay, lots of funk and perhaps a touch unbalanced. Drank it with about 4 years of age. No doubt that played some factor.

375mL bottle at the International Geuze & Kriek festival. Pours murky blonde with a white head. Nice old furniture, musty upholstery on the nose. Flavour has good must, old books, dusty furniture. Very nice.

The barnyard funky horse blanket aromas are there, but they are not as prnounced and upfront like other geuzes ive had. There are many as upfront aromas light lemon zest, wet hay, and musty hops, also. The finish is quite tart, but again, i expected more, but its still very enjoyable. Im really digging the incredible balance between the sourness and other flavours.

Clear orange with minimal head. Acidic, musty, tart lime, hay. Very dry and tangy finish. Medium bodied. Quiet lovely.
