Deze geuze wordt afgevuld op flessen van 37,5 en 75 cl en heeft een alcoholgehalte van 6,0 %.
Voor de Oude Geuze worden jonge lambik, met minimum een jaar rijping, en oude lambik, met minimum twee jaar rijping, gemengd volgens de smaak van de geuzesteker. Eenmaal op fles volgt de laatste rijpingsfase. Resultaat is een bier van spontane gisting met een typische smaak en mooie schuimkraag.
Deze geuze wordt ook nog omschreven als vrij droog, bitter en relatief minder zuren.

37,5cl bottle (vintage 2018) from Prik & Tik Dranken Marlou. F: big, white, average retention. C: deep gold with elegant light yeasty veils. A: light sour fruity, a lot of barnyard, woody, old lemon. T: sour fruity, barnyard, woody, lemony, green gooseberries, light puckering, higher carbonation, very refreshing and good balanced, fully enjoyed.

Bottle from Etre An easy initial pour gave a brilliantly clear medium gold color with a huge fluffy white head that persists. Lemony tart with big earthy funk and a faint hint of skunk on the nose. Tart lactic flavor with some pleasant earthy funk moderate carbonation quite refreshing.

11-11-20 // Helau. Bottle. Belgian Level 100. 2019 on the cap. That’s my haze. Hazy darker golden. Frothy white head. Nose of grassy funk. Higher carbonation. Lots of green apples, mild sulphur. Higher sweetness, juicy. Too young but already great. Wood and barrel with funk to end.

Zaskakujaco grzeczne jak na de cama. Aromat mniej intensywny niz w wielu innych, ale w uscie pyszka wielka. Zaskakujaco wgl, ze zlozonosc sie wlasnie dopiero w uscie objawia. Z malym minusikiem

0.75 l bottle from 'Prik & Tik' (Arendonk), bottled in March 2015, cellared for four years. A bit hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, quite funky and gently fruity aroma of old lemon, horse blanket, oak, apple skin, some gooseberry and a touch of wood. Gently sour, quite fruity and slightly funky taste of old lemon, leather, wood, apple skin, horse blanket and some gooseberry, followed by a short, gently tart, fairly woody-dry, moderately funky, almost peppery finish. Medium body, just slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Superbly balanced Gueuze, nicely dry and not too sour.
