Poured from the tap (this years version lists hops as topaz, citra, columbus, and centennial). Cloudy gold with white head. Some tropical hops and a touch of citrus grapefruit, overall slightly muted. Okay.

Good white foam and soft brown body sort of clear. Mellow peach aroma. Flavour is more peach tempered by just a bit of malt, and then a medium to dry finish kicks in. Abv is invisible. This is not bad at all.

On tap. Pours a murky orange with a medium, creamy, long lasting, white head that leaves plenty of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, bread, orange, grapefruit, peach, tropical fruit and pine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, biscuit, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, mango, papaya and pine resin in a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty.

While the first one was legitimate mud, v 2.0 (made by new brewers) is not, settling for a general haziness and amber colour that doesn’t fit the "Northeast IPA" trend nearly as well. Nor does the nose. People who think those beers are just about opacity are missing the damn point. The hops in those beers are luminous bright. In this, just decent, and veering towards richer pine, cheesy old c hop and stewed fruit. So not the same thing at all. On the palate the hops are still woody, though they do seem fresh, and the lingering bitterness is nicely done. That said, there are chewier malt notes and again the type of hop is all wrong. It’s not actually a bad beer, but more like SoCal ten years ago. So may I reiterate, mud along does not make a beer a New England IPA.

Cloudy blond colour. Decent IPA, bit it doesn't seem to be NE (not juicy), nor WC (not clean and crispy), it has a strong bitterness but it's a bit vegetable; seemingly, a bit higher acidity too. Side to side with the new Ironworks ipa definitively this one is not the winner.

Cloudy golden to light amber color, small head. Nice aroma, fruity hops, a bit tropical. The body is lean, highly drinkable, the malt is crackery, a bit toffeeish, the hopping is fresh, resiny, tropical, and quite dank.
Very good. Fresh.

Murky light amber color. Very nice hopping, oranges over all, some tropical fruit, a bit dank later; full bodied, moderately sweet, the malt flavor is also good.
Really ugly, but also good; drink cold.

Crowler, pours a cloudy orangey brown with a large beige head. Aroma is quite fruity, with dank citra and tropical fruits. Flavour is dominated by the tropical fruit -- loads of papaya, peach and mangos. Also some pine and dank. A little yeasty, but works really well. Very nice stuff.

2018-01-24. On tap at Chambar with Sonnet. Pours a deep golden with a tan head. Aroma is lots of tropical fruits with citrusy notes. Similar taste with noticable hoppy bitterness. Good stuff.
