On tap at Honey Moon [labeled as a cider, but probably the mead]. Pours clear pale blonde. Cloves, nutmeg, and apple cores on the nose. Flavour has a thin layer of spices, attenuated honey; not getting much apples – did they mix this up? It's fine, but not good.

The same sort of alcohol-tasting, off-dry mead that I don’t like, but with a big whack of cinnamon and cloves. Not really to my taste - I find you need a lot more residual sugar to carry the spice across the palate.

Tap room - Cooked and baked apple with spice. Almost clear. Spice apple and nice sweetness. Just like apple pie, can’t believe this is a mead.

On tap at Honey Moon, pours a crystal clear pale yellow. Nose is full of Christmas spices and light honey. Flavour is similar, with a good mix of Christmas spices and medium honey sweetness. Not too burning on the palate nor rough. Good stuff.

Bottle at the winery
Pale blond color. Aroma of cinnamon bun. Medium sweet mouthfeel, with low honey characteristics, mainly the cinnamon flavor goes through, and this one too has some degree of acidity.
It doesn’t take much to make a cinnamon drink…
