A brazenly hop-forward beast of a beer, with a huge passionfruit nose. A subtle caramel character provides a malt backbone to shoulder the massive amount of dry-hopping that gives this beer its unique aroma and hop flavor. Two 5 Left is the runway that sends planes screaming right over El Segundo. We always knew we would name a beer after this local landmark and when it came to naming our first Double IPA, it fit the bill perfectly.

US pint in Stadium Brewing during Happy Hour on 17th January 2023. Amber/orange body, white head. Hoppy front to the aroma, piney rather than citrusy, taste also piney hop bitter with a decent malty base for balance and a touch of sweetness.

Lots of bitterness, some guava. Goes excellent with the chicken that they served it with. Some pine like you’re missing the 90s. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Tap at Savor.

Draft at Churchkey. Pouerd a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was nice pine notes, touch of citrus. Flavor was nice bitter citrus, touch of citrus zest, light pine finish. Alcohol well hidden here.

Bomber from ABV. Pours a crystal clear dark amber color with a medium white head. A big floral and resin hop nose. Big sticky resin, oily hops, bitterness, caramel, tropical fruit. Certainly a big IPA. Quite tasty. Sort of a throwback considering how things are going, but this is good.

Tap at Ale Arsenal. Clear orange-gold with moderate white head. Fair amount if caramel and residual sweetness. Overt pine and resins.

Draft - Leafy hops and some caramel sweetness. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet and a bit boozy orange peel. Not bad.

This brew pours a slightly hazy copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, pine and toasted malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, citrus and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
