Draught at the brewery; 6.5% ABV
Dark color, near black. Dark malt aroma and flavor, more chocolate than coffee (this is positive), not especially salty, but savory in the final.
Nice and full, robust.

Draught @ Devil’s Elbow. Medium brown. Has a nice chocolate/liquorice character. The salt builds this up, adding depth to these flavours.

On tap at Field House, pours a black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of salt, roasted malt and a touch of pepper. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of caramel, toasted malt, and bready malt. Medium sweetness with not much presence of salt or pepper. Very good.
