Dark color, near black. Dark malt aroma and flavor, more chocolate than coffee (this is positive), not especially salty, but savory in the final.

Draught @ Devil’s Elbow. Medium brown. Has a nice chocolate/liquorice character. The salt builds this up, adding depth to these flavours.

On tap at Field House, pours a black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of salt, roasted malt and a touch of pepper. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of caramel, toasted malt, and bready malt. Medium sweetness with not much presence of salt or pepper. Very good.

Draft - Molasses and dark roast. Jet black with a decent beige head. Sweet, roasty, dar, caramel and salty. Very solid.
