Bottle. Rich, thick dark brown with fluffy brown head. Chocolaty, coffee in flavor. Real great.

Bottle split at the Autumn Watford tasting, thanks to LKS, 24/09/21. Light black with a decent tan cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is chocolate, nutty, dried fruit esters, spice, light roast, hazelnut. Taste comprises coffee bean, chocolate, dark malts, caramel, brown sugar sprinkle. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a whisper of alcohol. Not bad ... just comes across a touch thin overall.

Bottle shared in Watford - picked up from Master of the Malt. Pours deep brown with a modest, foamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, light light ash roast, bitter cocoa, black coffee, some torched leaves, leather. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more bittersweet cocoa, dark roast coffee, ash, earth. Solid overall.

It’s a good coffee cocoa Imperial Stout but I think that the coffee part is a little overplayed. Aroma’s coffee, cocoa, dark and roasted malt. Flavor’s like nose, sweet up front, bitter coffee finish.

Tap bowsers. Big & black. Chocolaty nose. Nice creamy head. First taste is coffee. Mostly flat and bitter coffee. Coffee does not allow much if any of the chocolate to come thru. Not bad for an impy stout, especially a niner, but whew that coffee, its there and in yer face right up to the end.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours brn/blk with a slight, transient dark tan head. Aroma is so coffee it’s almost spicy. Med ++ body. Flavor is coffee and chocolate and rather earthy altogether. Smoothing dark malt. It’s not dry, and it’s coffee bitter. Rather soothing. Could be a deadly sipper.

22oz bomber pours with a nice dark body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up big coffee notes, some earthy coffee, soft chocolate, Nestle chocolate milk mix and a dash of malty sweetness. The taste is similar with a pleasing blend of coffee, earthy chocolate, earthy chocolate and a sense of dark roasted malts. This is nice.
