A new world take on a classic English style. A trifecta of Pacific Northwest hops, Centennial, Comet and Cascade, are combined with rich biscuity and malt flavours. Balance is key to this golden brew though one should heed our warning; this ale packs a wallop.

650 ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown with moderate foamy head. Aromas of caramel malts, winter berries and a bit of spice. Flavors of candi sugar, piney earthy hops, minerals, and biscuity malts. Seems a bit chaotic but must be an improvement over previous years.

At Matt’s place. Sweet caramel and perfume notes in the aroma. Very bitter taste with a touch of caramel.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy reddish orange with an off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of bready malt and a bit booze. Flavour is absolutely vile and infected, with a disgusting chemical infection of some sort, followed by bready notes and alcohol. A complete disaster. Total drain pour.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy red-amber color, small frothy head. Mild aroma, stronger malt flavor, but it also has some off-flavors typical of high gravity brewing by brewers who don’t master it, and plenty of cabbage/vegetables in aroma and flavor.
Poor.
