On tap at Callister, pours a cloudy darkish orange with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity, with young funky bretty notes and some prominent red berry fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with astringent funky bretty notes, along with the aforesaid fruitiness. Fairly astringent on the finish, with a soft palate. A little harsh, but still fairly tasty. Decent.

Draught at Callister
Hazy amber color with small head. The aroma is promising, very fruity, tropical, but also some yeast; and some acetaldehyde. Mild malt flavor with a shade of caramel, and light residual sweetness, with low carbonation; expectedly it’s quite bitter, there are hop resins and some bitter oranges, the mild Brett seems to fight with the elbows to fit in, instead of working together and improve the malt and hop, and the final is a bit weak on the malt side and a bit earthy.
Not bad, but I’m sensing a rather chaotic and dirty pale ale.
